Let's go Brother

Last Monday, I wasn't feeling very excited to work. Every angle I looked at things there seemed to be big problems. Investigatores not married, recent converts not going to church, working sunday, and not paying tything, Leaders not doing Jack, a lot of things, and I was praying to the lord, talking about it, and I heard a voice, it was my own voice. saying the words from one of my favorite hymns, Onward Christian Soldiers.

In Spanish the first line of the third verse is "Vamos Pues Hermanos" Which hits me harder than how it is sang in English. in the exact translation it is "Let's go brothers." And when I heard that voice, the energy I needed came. I told the lord in that prayer, things I have told him before, "I will do everything in my power to do as thou asks, but I need thee, oh how I need thee"

Then the Miracles poured in. We found more than 10 new people. One of them being a little girl named Cielo. We were contacting a hill that is close to the church and talked to a 30 year old women who by no suprise was an inactive member. She explained she was baptized in Northern Peru, but then when came to chosica, lost contact of the church. We set a visit and went back. When we went backon Saturday, Cielo asked us if she could listen, we agreed and had a great lesson. Including the dedication of their humble home. We invited them to church, and the 30 year old inactive explained she had a meeting she was obligated to go to, but cielo said she wanteds to go.

Sunday we went to pick her up, and I was moved when she came out, not alone but with her 10 year old niece. We walked to church, and Cielo told me she went to church all the time when her sister was active. We went into sacrament, and we sat next to them, I couldn't hold back tears as Cielo guided her 10 year old niece through the hymns as she sat on her lap. That to be is an example, that to be is family.

The lord talks, and speaks, if we are lacking the energy to work, we must ask the lord, and he will give us that energy, and energy from heaven is a lot stronger than any other energy we can find.

There is not place in the world like Peru.

Always things to do

This week was good. Found some new people. I don't know why but almost everyone we teach is a younge women... We recieve references, women, knock on a door, women, I mean it's great.  I understand why there will be 7 women to 1 man in the celestial kingdom now, but geese, I would love to teach a man sometime!

I went to church for the first time this week, so that was fun. It was dedicated by Elder Ballard when he was a 70. The ward is good. The area is a gold mine, just gotta do some digging!

The good news? Elder Rasband is coming to our mission! Boom!
Two apostles in less than a year. Peru is the promised land.
Take that world. haha

What else? Nothing else. Teaching people with real big problems. Sometimes it makes me sick, mad, sad, or just unexcited..Satan.. that man knows things, but god knows more. Just gotta keep working and be pacient.

This computer won't load pictures.

Revelation

Without even realizing it, The lord has just dumped some major revelation on me the past 3 months. Especially in these last 3 weeks. I don't know if he was just waiting a year and a half before he did it, but I am glad he has heard my prayers.

This week we had interviews. For a long time I pondered about my dreams, but thought I was just being crazy. I talked to President Boswell about everything. It blew me away when he supported, and encouraged me. If you are looking for direction with your dreams, talk to your leaders, they know things.

Today we went to the temple. Ya just don't beat going to the temple! I was thinking about how weird it is I have been through the temple more in Spanish than in English, When I was in the celestial room I was looking at my hands thinking about all the bad, and good things they have done. and how blessed I am to be able to stand in Holy places, and that the lord has paid the price of my sins. Missions are great. Temples are salvation.

Speaking of the mission.. haha
We had a better week. Elder Cueva is really coming out of his shell. Sometimes I just jump us off a cliff into deep water and he either has to swim or drown. He is swimming well :) We found 8 new people. It is a lot easier to find news here than in San Borja, but none the less we have some people who just don't want anything. haha for example..

We knocked on a door.
An old lady answered, I asked her how her day was... She said good.
Then I asked her name, and she responded, ''I'm catholic!"
I looked at her and said loudly, "Lady I asked your name not your religion!"
She laughed and told me her name, then continued to tell us she didn't want anything.
Haha contacting. Never gets old.

Another week here in Punte Palomar! YES!

I don't have pictures this week... que pena

From one extreem to another

First week down. It has been from one extreme to another. First the first time in almost two years I felt rain. Here we are high up so it rains. That was nice. I definitely don't go up any more elevaters like in San Borja, but I do climb some mean stairs, It is a lot better weather here, so that has been nice.

Elder Cueva is from Peru, he is a recent convert of just a couple of years, and is just innocent, if we don't get along this transfer it will be my fault for sure. The guy has a heart so big he won't even kill a cocroach.

Conference always stands to amaze me. It is always my favorite weekend of the mission. I think of my life. haha, my prayers have been answered an I am certain that god is guiding me, that he is in charge or my life and he knows where I am going. Thanks to this conference. I know where he wants me to go.

Since I am new here, it is like starting from Scratch again, we don't have like anyone to teach so we are going to start this process one last time! Elder Cueva and I are going to learn the area together.

Anything else?
No. I am in the mountains, far away from life, so don't worry about me!
